# Pricing

> Telnyx billing units, representative voice rates, and product-specific pricing sources for estimating API usage costs.

Telnyx products use usage-based charges such as minutes, messages, phone numbers, tokens, and GB. Rates, minimum commitments, discounts, and additional fees depend on the product and account agreement. Consult the [product pricing pages](https://telnyx.com/pricing) before estimating cost.

## Representative voice rates

The following USD rates were checked against the linked product pricing pages on September 16, 2026. Starting rates are not quotes for every destination or configuration.

Standalone text-to-speech and speech-to-text are priced separately from the Voice AI engine bundle. Confirm the engine, model, and billing unit on the [text-to-speech pricing page](https://telnyx.com/pricing/text-to-speech) or the relevant [product pricing page](https://telnyx.com/pricing); do not apply a single voice rate to every API surface.

## Plans, discounts, and trial usage

Pay-as-you-go and committed-use options depend on the product. For example, [Voice AI pricing](https://telnyx.com/pricing/voice-ai-agents) lists pay-as-you-go, committed, and enterprise options; [SIP trunking pricing](https://telnyx.com/pricing/elastic-sip) offers discounts in exchange for monthly commitments. Check current [signup](https://telnyx.com/sign-up) requirements and account restrictions before relying on trial credit. Trial credit is not a general nonbillable sandbox. API actions can incur charges; obtain authorization before billable requests.

## How billing works by product area

| Messaging (SMS, MMS, RCS, WhatsApp) | Per-message rates by country and sender type; applicable carrier and registration fees |
| Phone numbers | Monthly recurring charge per number, plus one-time fees where applicable |
| Wireless / IoT SIMs | Data usage with regional rates and applicable plan charges |
| AI inference and voice AI | Model-specific token rates; Voice AI engine minutes and telephony charged separately |
| Networking and storage | Transfer and storage usage according to the selected product |
